One Word to Describe CPP: “Collaborative. I have been able to work with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and I always leave every encounter learning something new.”

Alex has learned that leadership within his various campus involvements is not one-size fits all, but fluid and adaptable to specific environments. As treasurer of ASI, he learned about pushing through imposter syndrome to lead meetings to approve budget requests from over 300 university clubs. With the Student Managed Investment Fund, his work to conduct high-level finance forecasting and the SMIF’s team work solidified his interest to work in finance. Alex draws inspiration to graduate from his parents, who have sacrificed to help Alex and his siblings prioritize education. He hopes to empower others through teaching investment. “One day, I hope to come back to campus to help students build their own portfolios, since I have seen firsthand how financial literacy can transform lives.”
