Study Spaces Pilot Program

Date: 4/5/2021
From: Student Affairs
Subject: Study Spaces Pilot Program

Dear Campus Community,

Due to modifications to LA County Public Health Guidelines related to Higher Education, we are happy to announce a pilot initiative that allows students to come to campus for studying purposes. We have designated study spaces to address a crucial basic need for our students during virtual instruction – access to an adequate space for studying and access to reliable internet.

Full information can be found on the Study Spaces website. Key highlights are listed below:

  • Study Space seats are available starting today, April 5.
  • Location: lecture halls 1001 and 1002 in Building 162 (College of Business Administration). Capacity will be capped at 25% in both lecture halls.
  • Hours of Operation:
    • Monday – Thursday (12:00 pm – 7:30 pm)
    • Friday (1:00 pm – 5:45 pm)
  • Students coming to campus for a Study Space will not need to pay for parking.

This initiative has been approved after careful planning to ensure compliance with all health & safety protocols. The study spaces will be cleaned regularly, require physical distancing and follow campus COVID-19 safety protocols. Students will be required to wear a mask or face covering at all times.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we begin to navigate this next phase of our work. We’ll continue to send updates when necessary. Please continue to visit the Safer Return website for up-to-date information.
