EOP Grant & Scholarships

EOP Grant

AMOUNT: EOP students who qualify for financial aid may receive an EOP grants average $600 per year. Prioirty is given to our incoming first year and transfer students and then awarded to eligible continuing students. 

CRITERIA/ELIGIBILITY:

  • Expected Family Contribution (EFC) is between $0 - $1,500
  • Student must be enrolled in at least 12 units each term.
  • To be considered for the grant, EOP students must apply for financial aid by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)  or the California Dream Act application.
  • EOP grants will only be awarded as long as funds are available.
  • The FAFSA or Cal Dream Act application is a separate process from the EOP admission process.

Emerging Scholars Scholarship

AMOUNT: $750
DEADLINE: April 2
CRITERIA/ELIGIBILITY:
  • Must be a current EOP student at Cal Poly Pomona
  • Must be currently enrolled full-time (12 or more units)
  • Minimum 2.5 CPP or Cumulative GPA
  • Open to all undergraduate majors
  • Must submit a 250-500 word supplemental personal statement/essay

 

EOP Ceja Family Scholarship

AMOUNT: $1,000 Bronco Bucks
DEADLINE: April 2
CRITERIA/ELIGIBILITY:
  • Must be an EOP student
  • Must be currently enrolled full-time (12 or more units)
  • Minimum 3.0 CPP or cumulative GPA
  • Open to all undergraduate majors
  • Preference is given to those who attended Sierra Vista High School, Baldwin Park High School, or Mt. San Antonio College
  • Must submit a 250-500 word supplemental personal statement/essay

EOP Eric Lara Scholarship

AMOUNT: $1,000
DEADLINE: April 2
CRITERIA/ELIGIBILITY:
  • Must be an EOP student
  • Must be currently enrolled full-time (12 or more units)
  • Minimum 2.0 CPP or Cumulative GPA
  • Open to all undergraduate majors
  • Special consideration will be given to those students coming from donor’s hometown in the La Puente area, but all EOP students are encouraged to apply given
  • Must submit a 250-500 word supplemental personal statement/essay

EOP Rebecca Aguiniga Cutler Scholarship

AMOUNT: $1,000
DEADLINE: April 2
CRITERIA/ELIGIBILITY:
  • Must be an EOP student
  • Must be currently enrolled full-time (12 or more units)
  • Minimum 2.5 CPP or cumulative GPA
  • Open to all undergraduate majors, preferably junior or senior
  • Must submit a 250-500 word supplemental personal statement/essay

EOP Student Engagement Scholarship

AMOUNT: $500
DEADLINE: April 2
CRITERIA/ELIGIBILITY:
  • Must be an EOP student
  • Must be currently enrolled full-time (12 or more units)
  • Minimum 2.5 Cumulative and CPP GPA
  • Attend at least 3 EOP Events during the Fall 2023 semester listed on the Fall 2023 Calendar at a Glance
  • Must submit a 250-500 word essay
Please note the 2024-2025 EOP Scholarships will be awarded to recipients beginning Fall 2024.
