There are changes coming to the 2024–25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) and California Dream Act Application (CADAA). As a result, the 2024-2025 applications will be available in December 2023, not Oct. 1st, 2023.

The priority deadline for the FAFSA and CADAA is typically March 2nd of each cycle. For the 2024-25 cycle only, the priority deadline in California will be April 2nd, 2024. We encourage that you complete your financial aid application as soon as possible before the deadline. Please make sure to add Cal Poly Pomona's schoo code (001144) to your financial aid application, otherwise, your financial aid application will not be received by CPP.

Which application should I file?

  • Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
    • U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen (i.e., Permanent Resident)
  • CA Dream Act Application (CADAA)
      • You must not meet eligibility criteria to file a FAFSA
      • You must meet the conditions of California AB540 status
      • You must not hold a valid non-immigrant visa (F, J, H, L, A, B, C, D, E, etc.).
