For workshops running at the same time, please only register for one. If you are found to have enrolled in more than one session, Staff Council may remove you without prior notice. In order to give staff the opportunity to experience Staff Appreciation Week, it is important that you only sign up for the workshops that you can attend.
No walk-ins for workshops. Hosts have requested a capacity for each workshop to provide the best experience for everyone.

Arabian Horse Center - Horse Show

Description: Arabian Horse Center is going to put a version of our Sunday Show for Staff Appreciation Week - A tradition started by W.K. Kellogg in 1926, the Sunday Show features Cal Poly Pomona students and staff riding Arabians in different disciplines from Native Costume to Liberty. Additionally, the trick horse act is always a crowd favorite. Training and handling are accomplished entirely by the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center's students and staff, and the show program is designed to demonstrate the versatility and fine qualities of the Arabian breed.

Description: Nestled among the lush landscape and blanketed by fig trees, sits the Kellogg House. Constructed in 1926, this spacious ranch-style estate exudes historical charm and offers mesmerizing views. Foundation Enterprises are opening the doors and offering the opportunity to walk the home of cereal magnet Will Kellogg. On this guided tour, you will learn the rich history of the house and experience firsthand what makes the Kellogg House so special to our campus.
Guests are welcome to come dressed comfortably. For those planning to walk the scenic trail up to the house, we recommend wearing comfortable shoes, bringing water, and wearing a hat or sun protection. A shuttle will also be available at Parking Lot A for those who prefer a ride to the top. Shuttle will be ready 45 min before the tour starts.

Description: Step into the rhythms of the islands! This beginner-friendly dance class introduces you to the beautiful movements of Hula (Hawaiian) and Tahitian dance. Led by Diane Gonzalez, who brings over 40 years of experience in dancing and teaching, this class welcomes all ages, levels, and genders—no experience needed.
Hula is all about slow, intentional movements that tell a story, while Tahitian dance is driven by the beat of the drum and your own creative interpretation of it. You’ll learn simple steps, explore fun routines, and connect with the spirit of island dance in a relaxed and supportive space.
Wear something you can move in—and if you have a sarong, grass skirt, or flower for your hair, bring it along! Most importantly, bring your curiosity and your water, and get ready to have some fun!

Description: Get moving with Coach Mohamed of Tiger9 Muay Thai, who has been leading classes since 2022. This one-hour session will teach you how to throw Muay Thai’s signature strikes—punches, elbows, knees, and kicks—through shadowboxing practice.
It’s a great way to learn the basics, get your heart rate up, and leave feeling strong. No experience necessary, and no contact—just movement, technique, and good energy. Bring water and wear clothes you can move in.

Staff and students will be stationed at each stop to share fun facts and answer questions, making it both relaxing and enriching. Explore at your own pace and enjoy the fresh air. Description: Step inside the sweet world of bees and handcrafted goods with a behind-the-scenes tour of our Apiary Production Lab! Hosted by students from the Bee Science Program, this guided tour will walk you through how we bottle our signature CPP Honey and craft small-batch beeswax products, including candles, soaps, lip balms, and herbal salves.
You’ll learn how raw materials from the hive are transformed into goods that support our program and get a chance to sample our delicious campus-made honey. At the end of the tour, we’ll have our Pop-Up Shop open in case you’d like to take home some sweet souvenirs and support student-led beekeeping at Cal Poly Pomona.
