Subject: Information on Teamsters CSU-wide Strikes on Feb. 17-20
Date: 2/10/26
Dear Students,
We want to share information with you regarding a labor action scheduled on campus next week. Teamsters Local 2010, which represents skilled trades employees, has announced plans for a strike at all 22 California State University campuses from Feb. 17 through Feb. 20, 2026.
Our campus will remain open, and classes, instruction and student services will continue. We remain fully committed to supporting your academic progress and ensuring that you have access to the resources and services you need. At the same time, we respect the rights of our employees as this process moves forward.
Classes will continue as scheduled, and facilities such as the Bronco Student Center, library, BRIC and other student service centers will remain open and operational. Students living in residence halls will continue to receive all regular housing and dining services.
You may see picket lines at some campus entrances during this time. We understand that students may have different levels of comfort in these situations. You are permitted to cross a picket line to access campus, or you may choose to use an entrance where no picketing is occurring. You are not required to provide your name or any personal information to anyone on a picket line.
We do not anticipate any issues related to strike activity. However, if there is an immediate safety concern or an emergency while entering or moving about campus, please contact the University Police Department at (909) 869-3070 so the situation can be addressed promptly. For general information and FAQs about the strike, visit the Strike Info website (www.cpp.edu/strike-info).
Support is available for students who are feeling impacted regarding strike activity. Students can access:
- Counseling and Psychological Services, Building 66, room 116, (909) 869-3220 or caps@cpp.edu
- Care Center, Building 97 (Marketplace), first floor, (909) 869-5071 or carecenter@cpp.edu
Our priority is, and will remain, your education and success. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to ensure continuity of learning and campus life during this period.
Sincerely,
Christina Gonzales
