The Teamsters Local 2010 called for an Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) strike on Feb. 17-20, 2026 statewide. The Teamsters allege that the CSU has engaged in unfair labor practices during the negotiation process, a claim the CSU denies.
The CSU Chancellor’s Office is involved in contract negotiations, not Cal Poly Pomona.
The CSU values its employees and is committed to paying fair, competitive pay and benefits to our skilled trades employees, and to using the collective bargaining process to reach agreement with Teamsters. The CSU respects the rights of its employees to engage in lawful strike activity. You can read more information on the CSU Labor & Employee Relations website.

Yes. Cal Poly Pomona will remain open and operational to support all our students. Classes, instruction and student services will continue. We do not anticipate disruptions to classes, student learning or essential services.
We do not anticipate disruptions to classes, student learning or essential services. Access to campus will be maintained, though people coming to campus may experience traffic delays. Offices and facilities, such as the Bronco Student Center, library, BRIC and other student service centers, will be open to provide service and resources. No other union has announced a strike for the same time period. We anticipate all other university staff and faculty will follow their regular work schedule.
The university will send regular, as-needed updates to students, faculty and staff via email and update the Strike Info website (www.cpp.edu/strike-info).
Individuals who are picketing may not block or otherwise obstruct the ability of students or anyone else to access the campus, including classrooms, other facilities and buildings, or campus services. If you are not comfortable crossing a picket line, you should access campus via an alternative entrance.
We do not anticipate any issues related to strike activity. However, if there is an immediate safety concern or an emergency while entering or moving about campus, please contact the University Police Department at 909-869-3070 so the situation can be addressed promptly.
