President and Chief Executive Officer
Rallye Holding LLC

B.S., Architecture, 1980

Juliana Terian is the president and chief executive officer of the Long Island-based Rallye Motor Co., an automobile group that includes Rallye BMW, Rallye Mercedes Benz, Rallye Acura, Rallye Lexus and the Rallye Collision Center. The 600-employee company has consistently ranked among the top dealerships in the tristate region –– and the country –– in annual sales, and customer satisfaction.

Terian assumed the role of president and CEO in 2002 after her husband, Peter, who founded the company in 1958, died following a long struggle with cancer. She is a director of the District 10 New York State Automobile Dealer Association.

In 2005, Terian oversaw the design and construction of Rallye BMW’s new environmentally conscious 92,000 square-foot dealership. Following its grand opening in 2007, the campus generated enough traffic to almost double the volume of cars sold and serviced over the previous location. The facility is a prototype of a green, sustainable structure that complements the region’s landscape and serves as a model for other auto dealers, both in the region and nationwide.

Terian has been a longtime supporter of Cal Poly Pomona’s College of Environmental Design and the Department of Architecture. She is a board member on the acquisitions committee of the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington D.C. Also, she is a trustee of the Marymount School of New York, and a trustee emeritus at The Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, where she endowed the Juliana Curran Terian Design Center Pavilion. She is a William Cullen Bryant Fellow at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, contributes to their New American Wing Galleries, and is on the museum’s visiting committee. Terian also provides ongoing support to the Caron Foundation.

Terian is a licensed architect. She was born in Burbank, California, and grew up in Granada Hills. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Cal Poly Pomona and earned a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from The Pratt Institute. Terian and her daughter, Olivia, live in Manhattan.
