Get Caught Green Handed
Once a week the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships makes a concerted effort to forego wasteful packaging and paper products. Staff are encouraged to pack a litter-less lunch and use reusable containers, cups and silverware throughout the day. Those who just can't give up that morning coffee run, bring their own travel mug, and staff on the run who must purchase lunch are encouraged to bring their own recyclable cloth bag and say "no" to paper and plastic bags. Tuesday evening Marcia Starcher sends out a reminder to fellow staff members along with a new tip or two. Wasteless Wednesdays has prompted staff to reconsider their actions and seek additional ways to reduce their carbon footprint. Way to reduce, reuse, and recycle!
