AI Hackathon Challenge & Mentorship Opportunities
(CPP) student teams demonstrate accuracy, feasibility, and market relevance in one of two challenge tracks.
- AI TechQuest: Develop and present market ready prototypes and tools.
- Digital AI Venture: Low code, venture and marketability design challenge.
Teams are evaluated on: Innovation, impact, feasibility, market readiness, and storytelling.
Challenge Sponsorships:
- Provide a real-world challenge for teams to address using AI.
- Provide brief guidance, context, or training materials related to your challenge.
- Provide prizes for outstanding teams.
- Participate during in-person judging at the AI Fair on April 16, 2026.
As a challenge sponsor and mentor, you engage with multidisciplinary teams, shape career relevant learning, experiences, and identify emerging talent while advancing AI innovation.
Cal Poly Pomona Artificial Intelligence Fair
When: April 16, 2026, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (hours subject to change.)
Where: Cal Poly Pomona Bronco Student Center (Building 35, Second Floor Ursa Major)
Purpose: To build relationships with industry, campus, and community partners supporting research, education, and experience with artificial intelligence.
Benefit: Ensuring Cal Poly Pomona remains a leader in higher education for artificial intelligence.
