How to Become a Peer Mentor

Thank you for your interest in becoming a peer mentor!  Students who joined the program are prioritized in becoming a peer mentor for the following academic year. 10 peer mentors for each college if the spaces do not get filled, then it is open to all STEAM students to apply.

Without your help and guidance, many, if not all, incoming students would not have the support and community necessary for success. These are important components of family and friendship - to help raise each other to be the best we can be, both socially and academically. We lay down these basic ground rules as the base framework for this upcoming semester.

The peer mentorship program uses a holistic approach to help develop a student's academic, professional, and personal growth at CPP.

Requirements

  • The time commitment for each peer mentor is a minimum of 4 hours per week
  • You will be assigned 1-2 mentees
  • If you commit to a semester of the program, you will receive a leadership scholarship of $1,500
