Entrepreneurial Training Program

Entrepreneurship Training Program provides students and the community the necessary skills to develop their own ventures. Participating in this program enables them to learn from faculty and industry experts in various areas related to entrepreneurship. Attending the workshops allows the participants to ask questions about their specific business challenges and get recommendations from the experts.

Industry Projects

Industry Projects provide a unique hands-on experience for students to understand and tackle real life challenges of established companies. These projects provide them vital experience that they can apply in their own ventures, strengthens their resumes, and provides them more opportunities in the job market.  While participating in these projects, students get a chance to to meet with executives from different industries, and receive feedback about their performance throughout the semester which significantly contributes to their academic development.

Bronco Startup Challenge

The Center of Entrepreneurship and Innovation presents the Bronco Startup Challenge.  The BSC is a business pitch competition that is open to recent graduates and all current students of Cal Poly Pomona.  The BSC is led by current Cal Poly Pomona students with help from staff and volunteer mentors.  It takes place every school year, starting with a Fast Pitch Competition in the fall and the Bronco Startup Challenge Competition in the spring.

In the last school year, the Bronco Startup Challenge has helped six students turn their ideas into businesses.  One very important part of launching a business startup is experience.  Competitors are matched with mentors who have experience as entrepreneurs and business executives.  A lot of our mentors are Cal Poly Pomona alumni who have started and/or run successful companies
