Electromechanical Systems Engineering Technology Mission

The electromechanical systems engineering technology program at Cal Poly Pomona is designed to prepare a diverse student population for application-oriented technical careers as professional members of the Engineering Team. Using fundamental engineering principles and theories coupled with technological advancements, they gain an excellent technical background that prepares them to contribute knowledge and innovation throughout their careers as members of engineering teams. Our graduates also develop personal skills in the areas of written and oral communication, ethical responsibilities, and respect for diversity, while understanding the significance of lifelong learning practices. These goals will be met by continually improving our program curriculum to reflect the needs of our students, while maintaining consistency with the standards of the California State University system.
