Community Planning Studio (URP 4310/4320)

The 2019-20 Community Planning Studio will create planning education workshops and educational materials to increase community engagement in the East San Gabriel Valley Area Plan, in partnership with Los Angeles County's Department of Regional Planning.

The 2018-2019 Community Planning Studio students developed a Planning 101 module for geography students at Workman High School in the City of Industry that included a pre-activity on the area's historical context, short videos on key concepts, and other student-centered materials. Students also provided interview and research support for the People's Map of East San Gabriel Valley project, and designed other methods of public engagement in planning.
