Barry A. Milofsky

Barry Milofsky, a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, is a founding partner of  M2A Milofsky and Michali Architects LLP. Projects produced by the firm have received local state and national broadcast and publication recognition for their excellence in design.  He been appointed to the Mayors(Los Angeles) to serve on the Cultural Heritage Commission, the Mayors Design Advisory Panel, and the Council District 13 Design Advisory Committee

Mr Milofsky has worked on transportation station and system design in Boston, New York and San Diego and the Southwest Corridor Project, on which he played a key role on the coordinating design team received the NEA Presidents Design Award. Work by the firm has been featured in Architectural Record, The Architects Newspaper, Library Journal and HGTV. He has served as a panelist at state-wide preservation and Planning conferences.  Throughout his professional career, he has served as a visiting critic at Harvard GSD, MIT, the Boston Architectural Center and Cal Poly Pomona.

Award-winning projects designed by M2A include the Silver Lake Branch Library, Views at 270 Affordable Housing, Little Tokyo Lofts and the Gogerty Building addition to Capital Records.

Mr Milofsky has served on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Conservancy, Hollywood Heritage and  and from 2007-20013 he served as the chair of the Historic Preservation Commission of the City of Huntington Park, CA. A resident of Silver Lake, he owns and is involved in the ongoing preservation of the Becker House, designed by Gregory Ain.
