About Me

Dr. Kiresich is an Assistant Professor of Nutrition at Cal Poly Pomona and Director of the DPD program. She earned a PhD in Health Promotion Sciences, Public Health at Claremont Graduate University. She is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, Dietetic Internship and Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition. As well, she completed a Master of Public Health (Applied Biostatistics and Epidemiology) degree at Claremont Graduate University.
She is a former Lecturer at California State University, Long Beach, where she had the opportunity to teach many courses from Introductory Nutrition to Professionalism, to Nutrition in the Life cycle, Nutrition for Nursing, Community Nutrition, and Consumer Resource Management, and teach and develop the courses Nutrition Education and senior seminar. She is a past Director for the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) as well as having directed the Individualized Supervised Practice Pathway (ISPP) (2013-2015). As time permits, she consults in Clinical Nutrition with expertise in a variety of medical issues, from diabetes and cardiac disease, to GI issues and pregnancy.
She is an active member of The Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics and current Vice President of Education for CA Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
