E'Lisha V Fogle

Dr. E’Lisha V. Fogle-Enang is an Associate Professor at The Collins College of Hospitality Management (CCHM) at Cal Poly Pomona (CPP). She currently serves as the Advisor for students seeking a minor in Hospitality. Before joining CPP, she began her career as a Food Service Resource Manager with SODEXO, where she worked for three years aiding more than 20 healthcare systems across 13 states. Her passion for service and hospitality was further encouraged after working in industry and observing gaps between service to customers and service to community.

Throughout her academic and professional career, she has interned with Walt Disney World Resorts, Ecotourism Australia, and advised the community-based organization, the Conservation and Tourism Society of Livingstone, Zambia. During her doctoral studies, she instructed several tourism related courses and taught as an Adjunct Faculty at her HBCU undergraduate alma mater, Virginia State University.

As a teacher-scholar, Dr. Fogle-Enang conducted research in the U.S., Central America, Australia and Africa, with her dissertation work titled, “Rising Black Voices of the Global South: Understanding Locals’ Relationship with Tourism in Livingstone, Zambia." Her research focuses on the use of more culturally sensitive methodologies to investigate critical tourism issues related to gender and community participation in lesser economically developed contexts—specifically Africa. Passionate about sustainability, she also has a Professional Certificate in Sustainable Tourism from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.

During her time at Cal Poly Pomona, she has served on the First Year Experience Committee, Academic Affairs and Faculty Affairs standing committees, the Kellogg Honors College Council, CPP Sustainability Roundtable, CFA Pomona Council on Racism and Social Justice Committee, and was a 2024-2025 Provost's Office Faculty Fellow supporting CPP's Black Thriving Initiative. As a Collins College faculty participant in the California Travel Association, she serves on both the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility Committee and the Sustainability & Stewardship Committee. 

Dr. Fogle-Enang holds memberships with Delta Epsilon Iota and Eta Sigma Delta International Honor Society. Committed to service in professional and personal spheres, she is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (ΔΣΘ) as well as Big Brother Big Sister of the Inland Empire. She enjoys travel, learning about new cultures, dance and music.
