Bio.

Dr. Jiangning Che is an associate professor in the Department of Apparel Merchandising and Management at Cal Poly Pomona. Dr. Che earned his Ph.D. Degree in Textile Coloration and he had 10 years of industrial experience in the textile and apparel industry before joining Cal Poly Pomona as an Assistant Professor in 2013. He has expertise in industry color application with textile, apparel, and other related principles. Dr. Che’s research interests are color science and application, textile dyeing with natural plant resources, and as well as textile testing. He serves as a voting member for the Research Committee and Publication Committee of the leading textile professional organization: the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC).

Sustainable natural textile coloration: Textile coloration with natural colorants extracted from Agriculture products and by-products.
Digital Color Application: optical model (correction), algorithm (formulation), and statistical analysis of parametric factors (thermochromism) of Instrumental Color Measuring and Computer Color Matching.
Textile testing: material performance and optimization.
