About Me

Francisco Rubio is an Assistant Vice President at StoneX Group Inc., where he develops quantitative models and fixed-income technologies that support trading and risk management across global markets. He brings over a decade of experience in quantitative finance, financial technology, and applied economic research to both industry and academia.

In addition to his professional work in financial technology, Francisco has extensive university teaching experience, including several years instructing graduate courses in the Financial Engineering program at NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering. At Cal Poly Pomona, he integrates real-world quantitative methods with finance theory to prepare students for data-driven careers in quantitative finance.

Francisco holds a Ph.D. in Financial Economics from the University of New Orleans and an M.S. in Financial Engineering from New York University. His research interests include sovereign debt risk, the capital structure of nations, and financial market efficiency. His scholarly work has appeared in Computational Economics and Management Research Review, among other peer-reviewed journals.
