Dr. Joanne Sohn graduated from UC Berkeley with an Degree in English and from Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine for her DVM. She also has a Masters in Public Health from UC Davis.
Dr. Sohn was the director of the Animal Health Science program at Cal Poly Pomona from 2014-22 and has been a clinical veterinarian for more than twenty-five years. Dr. Sohn has developed multiple hands-on learning opportunities for students and has been heavily involved in experiential learning and the First Year Experience program for students. Her passion for international travel has resulted in organizing trips with students to Thailand and South Africa. As a result of her numerous grants, the on-campus veterinary teaching lab is equipped with some of the most up-to-date equipment and technology.
