Flying Broncos Student Club

I'm the founding advisor of Flying Broncos—a hands-on, high-energy student club sponsored by the Mechanical Engineering Department. We design, build, and fly RC airplanes, and take on cool challenges like the SAE Aero Design West competition. It’s all about learning by doing, working as a team, and pushing our designs to new heights. We welcome students from all engineering majors, so whether you're into aerodynamics, electronics, or just love building things, there's a place for you here.

Letter of Reference for Current and Former Students

It is with great pleasure that I support the professional growth and academic journeys of my students. I am more than willing to provide letters of reference for both current and former students. My references are most effective if you have completed at least two courses with me, undertaken your senior year or graduate project under my supervision, participated in research, or engaged in a combination of these activities. This approach allows me to provide a detailed and meaningful recommendation that accurately reflects your skills and achievements.

Should you require a letter of reference, please contact me initially through email, including all pertinent details such as submission deadlines and the potential timeframe when an employer might contact me to discuss your qualifications. Additionally, if you need career advice, I am happy to help guide you through your professional development, including pursuing registration as a professional engineer (PE), and answer any questions you may have.
