About me

Dr. Payam Parsa joined California State Polytechnic University Pomona in the fall of 2017 as Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering. He currently teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of Logistics & Supply Chain, Facility Logistics, Statistics, and Engineering Economics. He serves as a board member of the Logistics and Supply Chain Division at the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE). He has years of experience collaborating with the Center for Excellence in Logistics and Distribution (CELDi) at University of Arkansas, where he developed implementable logistics solutions for leading companies in the retail and healthcare sectors. He has worked at Walmart Logistics as a supply chain analyst prior to graduating with his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering. He has received numerous research excellence awards from the Professional Association for Supply Chain and Operations Management (APICS), Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE), Center for Excellence in Logistics and Distribution (CELDi), and Material Handling Institute (MHI).
