Dr. Priti Saxena is an Assistant Professor in the Plant Science Department at the Huntley College of Agriculture, California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (CPP). She earned her PhD in Plant Biology, specializing in turfgrass breeding, from Rutgers University, NJ. Dr. Saxena serves as the Director of the Center for Turf, Irrigation, and Landscape Technology, as well as the Program In-Charge for the Organic Tomato Breeding Program at CPP.
Her research interests and expertise span across turfgrass science and management, organic agriculture, plant breeding, sustainable farming practices, precision agriculture, water conservation and plant health. Dr. Saxena actively mentors undergraduate and graduate students, guiding them in their research endeavors within these areas. Additionally, she teaches a range of plant science courses at the Huntley College of Agriculture, fostering the next generation of agricultural scientists and professionals.
