Personal Interests

I enjoy outdoor activities and anything that involves nature, from scuba diving in the ocean to flying over snow-capped mountains!

Scuba Diving:

I learned how to dive at a muddy lake in Wichita, KS! Later, however, I have been lucky to dive many interesting scuba diving destinations including, the Great Barrier Reef, Great Blue Hole, Cancun Cenotes, Cozumel, etc. Recently I have not had a chance to scuba dive much, because I have been focused on flying more!

Aviation:

I grew up in airforce bases around Iran, due to my father's job. As a child, I was fascinated with flying and dreamed of becoming a pilot.  This dream of mine later became a reality!  Currently, I am a certified flight instructor (CFI and CFII) and teach flying on the side. I have also geared some of my research into the aviation realm. I would like to acknowledge the following awards and organizations that paved the way for me to get my wings:

  • The 99s
  • CP Aviation
  • Figure 1 foundation scholarship for Tailwheel endorsement
  • Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA)
  • Aviation Air Insurances (AIR)
