Bio

Yi (Fionna) Xie obtained her Ph.D. degree in Business Administration (with a concentration in Agribusiness) from Arizona State University in May 2018. She worked at Xiamen University China for three years as an Assistant Professor of Marketing. She joined Cal Poly Pomona in 2021. She has been teaching marketing-oriented courses including Principles of Marketing, New Media Marketing, Food, and Agribusiness Marketing / Retailing. Her research interests focus on food decision-making, lay theory, identity conflict, compensatory consumption, and technology adoption such as AI and robots. Her works appear in journals such as Journal of Business Research, Journal of Consumer Behavior, International Journal of Tourism Research, and International Journal of Hospitality Management.
