Welcome!

Cal Poly Pomona is committed to implementing the spirit and legislative requirements of the federal Native American Graves Protection & Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) and state CalNAGPRA, which were enacted to acknowledge the fundamental human rights of Native American and indigenous communities to their ancestral human remains and cultural items.

University Land Acknowledgement

We at Cal Poly Pomona respectfully acknowledge that we gather on territory and ancestral land of the Gabrielino/Tongva peoples, the traditional land caretakers of  Tovaangar.  We also recognize that the land known as Los Angeles County today is also home to many Indigenous peoples from all over the region.  We are grateful for the opportunity to live, work, and organize as guests on these lands.
