Ms. Miller is Executive in Residence for Cyber Security at California State Polytechnic University Pomona. In this role, she functions as a catalyst with faculty and staff to explore interdisciplinary collaborations and academic innovation, to offer industry insights and to facilitate broad industry partnerships; with students as a resource in experiential learning and transition into professional careers; and with alumni, community and business leaders to support the University’s academic and philanthropic strategic vision and goals.

Prior to her retirement, Ms. Miller enjoyed a 40-year career in innovation and technology leadership, information security, global cybersecurity education and workforce initiatives, program and organizational leadership, transformational change and strategic solutioning.

Ms. Miller most recently served as the Director of Technical Talent Strategy for Northrop Grumman, where she led strategic initiatives to shape the technical workforce to meet business and customer mission needs and to enable Northrop Grumman to attract and retain diverse technical talent aligned with current and emerging technologies and capabilities. Prior to this position, Ms. Miller addressed global challenges and opportunities in cyber education and workforce professionalization, collaborating with many federal, state and local boards, academic institutions and non-profit entities, participating in public-private partnerships, and speaking passionately about the need to educate and develop a diverse, highly-talented cyber workforce.

As a leader in corporate information security, Ms. Miller led all aspects of identity and access management for Northrop Grumman’s 90,000 employees and extensive business partners. Prior to that role, she led acceleration and expansion of the corporation’s cybersecurity revenue by developing innovative strategies, shaping the business and investment portfolio and fostering internal and external collaboration.

Ms. Miller has over 30 years experience creating systems solutions and managing programs in the intelligence, defense, commercial, and government domains. She has led all phases of the software-intensive systems lifecycle using traditional, evolutionary, spiral and rapid application development models. Ms. Miller is an experienced leader in organizational change, business transformation and strategic improvement using principles such as Lean-Agile, Program Management Body of Knowledge (PM BOK), Mission Assurance, Lean Six Sigma, CMMI Level 5, AS9100 and ISO 9001:2000.

Ms. Miller graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona; holds a Certificate in Leadership from the University of Virginia Darden Graduate School of Business; and holds an Honorary Doctor of Science from the California State University. She is a Certified Computing Professional (CCP), conferred by the Institute for the Certification of Computer Professionals, and is a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt.

Ms. Miller serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the California State Polytechnic University Pomona Philanthropic Foundation, serves as Development Chair on the Board of Directors of Lead Virginia, and as Finance Chair of the Shrine Mont Board of Directors.
