Justin Liu is Senior Vice President, Securities Counsel, Sustainability, and Assistant Corporate Secretary at American Homes 4 Rent (NYSE: AMH), a leading large-scale integrated owner, operator, and developer of single-family rental homes. Liu leads the company's securities and corporate governance function and its sustainability department. He brings over 15 years of expertise in legal compliance, risk management, and organizational governance.
Prior to American Homes 4 Rent, Liu held senior legal roles at Western Digital Corporation (NASDAQ: WDC), a global data storage company, and MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM), a global gaming and hospitality company, where he advised on SEC compliance and corporate governance matters. He began his legal career as an associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, an international law firm.
Liu earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his B.A. and M.A. in philosophy from Stanford University. He is admitted to practice law in California. He serves on the Audit Committee of the Cal Poly Pomona Philanthropic Foundation.
