Materials and Loan Program
- The loan program aims to help reduce cost of attendance for students by providing lab equipment and educational materials on a rental basis. Students can check out lab coats, goggles, gloves, and dissection kits as needed, at no cost! Students may also check out iPads, graphing calculators, and textbooks!
- Graduate School Application Support
- Application to Graduate or Professional schools can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate, especially as a first generation college student. That's why CSU-SPaRA guides students as they apply, helping revise personal statements and understanding requirements. Students may also be eligible for partial of full application cost reimbursement.
-
Conference Travel Support
-
Conferences are an amazing way to meet professionals in the field and learn about new internship opportunities! Conferences may be difficult to attend because they are often in a different state, so CSU-SPaRA students may be eligible for partial or full financial reimbursements to help aid travel.

Research Scholar Program
CSU-SPaRA Research Scholars Receive all the same benefits that General Members receive, however Research Scholars gain access to more resources and perks!
Research can look vastly different across disciplines. However, a unifying feature across all undergraduate research is that it prepares students for graduate school and careers post-graduation. CSU-SPaRA Research Scholars receive an annual stipend of $2000 and a $200 research supply grant to support them as they participate in research.
The CSU-SPaRA program at Cal Poly Pomona has a scholarship fund that is exclusive to outstanding research scholars within the program. Each year, scholars are selected based on criteria such as academic success and research involvement. The awardees receive a monetary award as well as being featured in the CSU-SPaRA PROUD Scholar newsletter which garners statewide recognition.
CSU-SPaRA Research Scholars also receive a program graduation sash at no cost!
