Summer at Cal Poly Pomona

Summer Youth Programs

Program Date/Time: Monday – Wednesday (August 9 – 11)

Program Description:

 Transfer Students

Welcome to Cal Poly Pomona! The PolyTransfer Program provides events and services where transfer students are supported through 1:1 coaching, academic support, and intentional programming focused on helping them transition into, through, and out of Cal Poly Pomona successfully. We are located on the first floor of the Student Services Building (Building 121) where we offer our large and vibrant transfer student population access to our team and a dedicated Study Lounge for our transfer students.

At PolyTransfer, you can speak with our Peer Mentors about a range of topics including our mentorship program, and support services aimed at connecting you with fellow transfer students, faculty, and staff. At CPP, we ❤ transfer students and it shows within all aspects of our program!

Join our Summer Transition and Mentorship Program

Our Summer Transition and Mentorship Program seeks to inspire incoming transfer students to achieve their full potential by establishing strong interpersonal relationships with them while maximizing their growth through intentional academic and social programming. Participants in this program will have the opportunity to select a mentor they believe is best equipped to help them navigate their first year at Cal Poly Pomona. Peer Mentors will meet with their mentees several times throughout the academic year in both a one-on-one and group capacity to ensure they are consistently supported in their transition.

As part of this experience, we provide a FREE three-day online Summer Transition Program for participants that will be held Monday, August 9 to Wednesday, August 11. Through this program, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Explore your “Transfer Experience” and effective transition strategies
  • Connect with peers, faculty, and staff who are dedicated to your success
  • Engage with PolyTransfer Mentorship Program Alumni
  • Interact with campus partners (e.g. Office of Undergraduate Research, Career Center, Study Abroad, etc.)
  • Discover internship, career, and graduate school opportunities
  • Navigate CPP electronic services (e.g. myCPP, CPP Connect, Bronco 411, etc.)
  • Attend academic lectures
