The McNair Scholars Research Symposium is a celebration of our scholars' research and the perfect opportunity for our students to showcase their hard work. The scholars will present their research projects at the 20th Annual Symposium on Thursday, April 25th, 2019.  Please join us from 3:00pm-5:15pm for presentations and 5:15pm-6:30pm for the Recognition Dinner at Kellogg West's Hillside Conference Rooms.

The Cal Poly Pomona McNair Scholars Program is also celebrating our 20th anniversary! To celebrate our 20th anniversary, we are launching our $20 for 20 Go Fund Me Campaign.  Any donation, is very much appreciated.

The campaign’s proceeds will be used to continue to serve our amazing scholars with the following:

1) Graduate School Transition Scholarships: Many of our scholars go on to a fully funded Ph.D. program. But many also know that the move to a new city and starting a grad program is financially stressful... especially since many graduate fellowships do not kick in until one or two weeks into the start of the academic year. The Graduate School Transition Scholarship will provide up to $500 for McNair Scholars who are entering a graduate program.

2) Support Dreamers’ participation in McNair activities! We are not allowed to fund Dreamers with federal grant dollars but believe Dreamers are equally important to the mission of the McNair program - to diversify the academy. Funding will support research supplies and travel to present at conferences.

3) Care packages for students spending the summer away from home for research. That first time away from home can be tough and a small care package goes a long way to helping our scholars thrive.
