As Immediate Past Chair, Ms. Miller is focused on philanthropic engagement for success of Cal Poly Pomona’s Institutional Philanthropic Priorities – Future Career Paths, Emerging Technologies and Campus Modernization.
Previously, Ms. Miller served two terms as Executive in Residence for Cyber Security at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. In this role, she catalyzed interdisciplinary collaboration, academic innovation, and industry partnerships; supported students in experiential learning and career transitions; and engaged alumni, community, and business leaders in advancing the university’s strategic goals.
Before retiring from Northrop Grumman, Ms. Miller enjoyed a 40-year career in innovation and technology leadership, cybersecurity, technical program management and organizational transformation. She most recently served as Director of Technical Talent Strategy at Northrop Grumman, leading initiatives to shape and diversify the technical workforce. She previously addressed global challenges in cyber education and workforce professionalization through public-private partnerships and nonprofit collaboration. As a corporate information security leader, she directed identity and access management for 90,000 employees and partners, and earlier, drove cybersecurity revenue growth through strategic innovation and investment. Ms. Miller held leadership roles across the intelligence, defense, commercial, and government sectors, managing full software lifecycles and applying methodologies such as Lean-Agile, PMBOK, and Six Sigma.
She earned a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Cal Poly Pomona (Magna Cum Laude), a Leadership Certificate from UVA Darden, and an Honorary Doctor of Science from CSU. She is a Certified Computing Professional and Six Sigma Green Belt.
Ms. Miller concluded three terms as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Cal Poly Pomona Philanthropic Foundation at the end of June 2025. She recently concluded two terms as an officer on the board of Lead Virginia and currently serves on the board of Shrine Mont (Vice President).
