Qualtrics Description

Qualtrics is an online survey tool that provides users the ability to build surveys with various question types ranging from graphs to text entries, distribute the survey onto the web to participants, and analyze the responses and results from participants all within the same service.

To use Qualtrics, make sure to create an account by using the Bronco id and password on this link, Qualtrics link, which would direct users to the central login page for online resources.

Qualtrics uses several ways to ensure the safety of its client data. Several high-end firewall systems, application penetration tests to cover any vulnerable areas, quick failover points, and backups are all used to guarantee the protection of all data collected. Qualtrics also uses a Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption (HTTPS) for all transmitted data and allows users to have password security access for their surveys (from https://www.qualtrics.com/security-statement/).

Qualtrics Functions

There are several different survey options for users to use in conducting their survey. They range from simple text entries, multiple-choice, matrix tables, rankings, sliders, hot spots, heat maps, and many more. With each question, the user can then customize the settings of each specific question, with their duration, choices, length, and order.

Users are able to use different validations that would force respondents to answer questions missed or request a particular answer as well. Qualtrics has four different types of validation: Force response, Request response, Content validation, and custom validation.

Qualtrics allows users to adjust the settings for multiple people to be working on a project (survey). If one is the owner, they can even limit the options for the other collaborators, like controlling if they could Distribute or Deactivate a survey.
