Opus String Ensemble
The Cal Poly Pomona Opus String Ensemble invites students to bring their skills in playing Western classical stringed instruments to participate in learning and presenting a wide range of music for string orchestra and smaller ensembles.
Students enrolled in the ensemble will: gain experience in rehearsing and preparation for musical performance in class, in the concert hall, or for the recording studio; extend their skills in intonation, tone, rhythm and blend as well as other expressive elements; and develop intra-ensemble leadership skills.
