Department of Music Internship

The Cal Poly Pomona music department has an unpaid internship that provides students with the opportunity to participate in the #CPPMusicCouches Podcast program. Each academic year the student accepted for the internship is tasked with being the host of that season’s episodes including development, production, scheduling, releasing and promoting the series. The program is supervised by Teresa Kelly who developed the internship program during the COVID pandemic as a way to enhance communication among the music community, and Professor Sarah Wallin Huff who oversees the production of the episodes and is composer of the podcast theme music.

This internship is best suited for music majors or students that have some experience with audio equipment. Interested students should contact their advisor for specific department requirements, and then contact the the music department at mu@cpp.edu.  A GPA of 3.0 or above, a resume, and two letters of recommendation are required for consideration.
