Welcome Drs. Christine Wieseler and Brian Kim!

The Philosophy Department is thrilled to welcome two new tenure-track faculty, Drs. Christine Wieseler and Brian KimPhoto of Brian Kim

Dr. Kim (bkim@cpp.edu) specializes in Rational Choice and Decision Theory, Epistemology, and Philosophy of Science. At CPP, he'll teach courses including Ethics Bowl, Critical Thinking, and an innovative course on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Kim obtained his PhD at Columbia University before taking up positions at UCLA, The Ohio State University, Bowdoin College, and Oklahoma State University. His current research projects include an exploration of the ways that social diversity contributes to knowledge.

Photo of Christine WieselerDr. Wieseler (cmwieseler@cpp.edu) specializes in Biomedical Ethics, Feminist Philosophy, and Philosophy of Disability. At CPP, she'll teach courses including Bioethics, Existentialism, and Moral Philosophy. She earned her PhD at the University of South Florida and went on to take positions at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, McGovern Medical School, the University of Louisville, and Skidmore College. Her current projects include co-editing, with Joel Michael Reynolds, The Disability Bioethics Reader (Routledge), which is the first collection specifically dedicated to the intersection of bioethics and disability.
