Ticket and Ceremony Information
Tickets are for guests. The Grad pass is used by graduates will for entry and the name reading prior to crossing the stage.
All guests 2 yrs or older require a ticket.
All faculty are invited to attend commencement and will need to confirm their participation in advance with their college commencement liaison (representative). A digital ticket will be issued to each faculty member who will be in attendance. For additional questions and information, email commencement@cpp.edu.
Parking is free for all Commencement guests during Commencement weekend.
- Graduate parking: Lot F
- Guest Parking: Lot F, Parking Structure 1 and 2
- ADA Parking: Lot C
For safety reasons, all bags are subject to search. All guests and graduates must go through the Bag Check areas around the Commencement venue. Visit the campus safety section for a list of prohibited items.
Cal Poly Pomona is located in Los Angeles County, and our Commencement ceremonies will follow the most current county and state guidelines.
Currently, the protocols include:
- Face masks or face coverings are not required for outdoor mega events. Voluntary wearing of masks is recommended (subject to change based on COVID-19 conditions)
- Proof of vaccination will not be required of attendees. However, we strongly recommend everyone to be up to date with their vaccines (including getting the booster shot), as it is the best way to protect yourself and our community from COVID-19.

Hooding for Graduate Students
It is recommended to purchase your hood with college and degree color distinction from Cal Poly Pomona’s Bronco Bookstore.
You will be hooded by department faculty at the Hooding Garden near the line-up area (University Drive/Mansion Lane).
Please arrive on campus one hour before your assigned ceremony.
- Park in "Lot F"
- Proceed to Engineering Meadow, Building 9 breezeway to student ticketing entry
- Have Grad Pass ready on your cell phone
- Proceed to Hooding Garden (University Drive/Mansion Lane)
Event Information
Graduates should plan to arrive 60 minutes prior to the start of their ceremony. Gates open for all guests one hour prior to ceremony.

Yes, Grad Images photographers will be on hand and proofs will be sent to each graduate by email after event.
Yes, graduates will be required to wear the approved Cal Poly Pomona cap and gown. They can be purchased through the Bronco Bookstore.
Diploma covers will be distributed at the event. For spring 2022 grads, diplomas will be mailed within two months of completing your exit survey. You can contact the Registrar’s Office for more information regarding diplomas at registrar@cpp.edu.
