Get Involved with The Cybersecurity and Awareness Fair (CSAF)

No matter who you are or where you are, the CASF is built on a foundation that brings together a diverse community to tackle the challenges presented by cybersecurity.  Connect with our team through sponsorships, presentations, and hiring students during the event.  Community members can get involved through the poster contest, contributing to the demonstrations, and attending the event. Working as a team, the CSAF event brings the cybersecurity community together promoting awareness, creating networking opportunities, sharing, mentoring, and engagement. How can you be a strategic partner with the CSAF?

Corporations and Cyber Professionals

Sponsor Us

We invite you to become a partner through a sponsorship and/or hosting a booth at our job fair. Our partners are the key to the success of CSAF by helping to raise awareness and bring the inclusion and diversity change needed in the cybersecurity workforce. The 2022 Sponsor levels will be posted soon. Please visit our website for updated sponsorship information.

Submit a Presentation

The goal is to raise the awareness of cybersecurity risks and the importance of cybersecurity to our nation.  Leaders from our community and industry such as CrowdStrike, Cisco, IBM, Palo Alto, and Red Canary educate attendees about their roles and why individuals should care about cybersecurity.  Additionally, your company can bring focus to how cyber security relates to your company’s specific industry and how up and coming students can tailor their skill sets to enter your specific industry segments.

Call for Hands-On Demonstrations

The Cybersecurity and Awareness Fair (CSAF) would like to announce its inaugural call for hands-on cybersecurity demonstrations. These demonstrations are intended to showcase a cybersecurity issue and then demonstrate how a user can protect them self or mitigate that issue with new skills that can be immediately applied after the CSAF. Our audience ranges from those who are new to security to the most seasoned practitioners in the security industry. Demonstrations of all skill levels are welcome.

Hire CPP Students at the Cybersecurity Workforce Job Fair

The job fair closes the day with a unique chance for your organization to recruit students and help them to start or advance at every level of their careers.  The CSAF is a one of a kind experience where recruiters have the ability to meet and network with the talented ethical hacking and cyber defense students during the fair portion of the event which showcases their soft skills and technical talents during their hands-on demonstrations. The job fair offers recruiters and students the opportunity to engage through informal initial interviews to go over resumes and set up future employment opportunities.

Attend the Closing Reception

The CSAF closing reception is an opportunity for attendees, vendors, sponsors and industry professionals to come together, celebrate this year’s achievements and network with each other and CPP’s IT leaders in a relaxed and social setting. It is an opportunity to mingle in a festive atmosphere exchanging ideas and discussing the latest trends and insights in cybersecurity. It's also a chance for attendees to unwind, connect with new contacts, and catch up with old friends of the fair in a more informal setting. There may also be awards or recognition ceremonies during the reception to acknowledge outstanding achievements or contributions to the fair. Overall, the closing reception provides a fun and enjoyable way to end the event, build new relationships and strengthen existing ones.

Students

Enter the Poster Contest

The Poster Contest is comprised of Awareness and Cyber Problem-Solving Research categories. What makes this contest successful is that it brings in participation from students that represent institutions like Purdue, Cal State Los Angeles, Fullerton College, Coastline College, Chaffey College, and CPP. Within CPP, this contest brings engagement through classroom assignments and/or extra credit assignments in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering. Along with the research learning, the contestants engage directly with attendees at the event creating a peer-peer learning opportunity while being judged by industry professionals. Winners will not only receive prize money; they may also have an opportunity to present at professional conferences.
