Graduation Writing Test (GWT)
A passing score on the graduation writing test (GWT) is required for all Cal Poly students. This test is administered by the test center and any undergraduate student who has completed at least 90 units may sit for the test. Graduate students may sit for the test at any time after admission. All undergraduate students must take this test by the quarter following completion of 120 units, and all graduate students must take this test by the completion of 8 units.
