The below scholarships are available to the Civil Enigneering and Construction Engineering and Management students. The requirements, eligibility, and deadline for application of each of the scholarships might be different, which can be found below.

The Civil Engineering Department Outstanding Student Scholarship is available to all continuing CE students that hold a full-time status. Financial need is not considered. The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize students that have excellent academic records, and outstanding work ethic, while being active in extracurricular activities.

The Geomatics Engineering Scholarship by Wood Rogers Inc. was created and funded by Wood Rogers Inc. to promote the interest in the geospatial and land surveying profession. Cal Poly Pomona Civil Engineering department will select two students for this scholarship. Each will receive $1,000 to help cover college fees and living expenses.


*Selection Criteria:*
* Open to all class level: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior and Graduates (including first-freshman and transfer)
* Major must be Civil Engineering major with declared Geospatial Engineering option
* Must be enrolled full-time (12 or more units) during the entire awarding period
* Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

*Funds Available:*
* One scholarship in the amount of $1,000 for incoming freshmen or transfer student
* One scholarship in the amount of $1,000 for a continuing student

Selected applications will be auto-matched based on their completed general application. Eligible winner(s) will be notified via email.

This scholarship is open to continuing freshman in the College of Engineering whose demonstrate an interest in civil engineering.


*Selection Criteria:*
* Open to class levels Freshman Only
* Major must be Civil Engineering
* Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
* Submit a copy of your unofficial transcript with your Fall grades
* Demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA for 2020-2021
* Submit a 500-word essay detailing your financial need and your motivation to become a civil engineer
* Must be enrolled full-time (12 or more units) during the awarding academic year
* California residency is required


Award winners will be determined based on their academic ability, motivation, and financial need.

This scholarship is offering awards to undergraduate students whose a Civil Engineering major and have completed at least 30 or more CE program units.

*Selection Criteria:*
* Open to all class level: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior
* Student must be first generation
* Must be major in Civil Engineering
* Must have a minimum major and cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
* Demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA for 2020-2021
* Submit a one-page essay describing your entrepreneurial activities, experiences or plans in civil engineering
* Must be enrolled full-time (12 or more units) for the fall and spring semester of 2020-2021 AY
* California residency required. 


Selection will be based on students' entrepreneurial POTENTIAL, essay, and financial need. 

This scholarship program was started by Melissa Demirci who is an alumna of Cal Poly Pomona’s College of Engineering from the Civil Engineering Program who also supports the Women in Engineering program. Her parents founded Transtech Engineers, Inc. in 1989 and since graduating from Cal Poly Pomona, Melissa Demirci has taken an active role in the firm’s leadership and wanted to use this platform to give back to the students within the Civil Engineering Program through the Transtech Engineers Scholarship Fund.

*Selection criteria to award:
* Opened to continuing junior and senior students majoring in Civil Engineering
* Must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
* Must be enrolled full-time
* Student must complete the supplemental question(s)
* Student must submit 1 Letter of Recommendation

Awards each year are based on the student’s general application and supplemental responses, consisting of academic and co-curricular excellence, and essay content.

The Beavers Heavy Construction is offering an opportunity to continuing juniors and seniors in the College of Engineering whose major is in Construction Engineering and intend to pursue a career in heavy construction.

*Selection Criteria:*
# Open to class levels: Junior and Senior (First-time transfer are encouraged to apply)
# Major must be Construction Engineering
# Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
# Demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA for 2020-2021
# Submit a 200 word or less statement demonstrating your interest in a career in heavy construction
# California residency is required

Donald G. Wells was a Civil engineering professor and a leader in the environmental and water resources group within the Civil Engineering Department. This scholarship was established to provide support and reward those who have some involvement in their profession using engineering skills/knowledge in some way beyond taking classes.
This scholarship is renewable (dependent on available funds) for the awarding recipient who continues to meet the criteria.


*Selection Criteria:
* Open to current grade level: Junior and Senior including first-time transfers
* Major must be in Civil Engineering
* Must have worked or intern in the field of civil engineering or participated in networking with the industry/employers.
* Must maintain a minimum of 3.0 GPA or higher
* Answer the supplemental question(s)

The American Concil of Enigneering Companies of California (ACEC California) will be awarding several scholarships totaling to $50,000 for the 2021-2022 acedemic year. To apply please visit here

 

The Railway Association of Southern California (RASC) Board is committed to supporting students seeking careers in the rail transportation industry. This scholarship program is offered once a year to local students in the Southern California Region. This year RASC will be awarding two $3000 scholarships to undergraduate students and three $3000 scholarships to graduate students for a total of five.
