I originally applied for an Electrical Engineer position here at Teledyne Relays (May 07.).  During the interview process, .Sales. was a topic of conversation which I am very familiar with and have plenty of experience with because of my family.s business.  I was then offered the position of Applications Engineer where I would be supporting Teledyne.s worldwide sales team.  Since then I have been promoted to Program Manager (Custom Products).  My job functions include:

Customer Specification Reviews:
Determine manufacturing feasibility
RF Testing such as measuring VSWR, Isolation, Insertion Loss
Operating and Storage Temperature
RoHS compliance
RF Power Handling
Environmental specifications such as Shock, Vibration and Acceleration in all directions

Coaxial Switch Matrices:
I manage all switch matrix opportunities.  Switch matrices vary from a simple 2x4 matrix to a full blown 64x64 matrix box. I communicate directly with the customer and assist them with determining switch types, control interface, etc. The main parameters that are discussed in matrices are RF (VSWR, Isolation & Insertion Loss).

Custom Switching Solutions:
I am the program manager for all custom products that customers inquire about.  Along with our broad line of electromechanical relays, solid state relays and coaxial switches, we offer custom solutions.  This varies from special marking to built-in diagnostics, high power handling, RF screening or custom designs.
