About Me

I'm a bioinformatician, I use computer science methods to answer biological questions. My students and I focus on analyzing large biological datasets (such as whole genomes) and looking for patterns. CPP students interested in participating in our group can read more about it in the Research tab. Below is an example of the type of data my lab generates.

 

Transposable Element in a genome
In the figure above you can see how individual location in the genome all contain a conserved nucleotide sequence. This is an example of Transposable Element, something we look for in our research.
