Video Tutorials

I love developing video tutorials to help my students and people across the world learn about Mechanical Engineering and computer programming. In January 2016, I helped my department launch ME Online, a video tutorial website that contains over 600 videos for mechanical engineering courses.

I have taken a lead role in creating videos for ME 1101/L, ME 2150, ME 3111, ME 3131L, and EGR 5110. I also helped record and edit videos for other courses.

In Summer 2019 I officially launched a podcast titled The Engineering Student Experience. Each episode examines a topic that is relevant to current and future engineering students. My goal is to create a resource that allows high school students to make better decisions about whether to pursue engineering and, if they decide to become an engineering student, how to thrive in college and beyond. You can find the podcast on your favorite podcast app such as Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, Google Play Music, Spotify, and more. The podcast's website is here:

In Spring 2014 and Spring 2015, I taught Cal Poly Pomona's first massive open online course (MOOC). The Spring 2015 course, titled "Introduction to Excel VBA Programming," was converted to a free self-paced course that was available until June 2021, when Blackboard shut down its MOOC platform.

If you are interested in learning Octave (the free version of MATLAB), I created a complete video tutorial series in Winter 2011 while teaching MAE 10 at UCI as a lecturer: Octave/Matlab programming videos
Unfortunately, I was just beginning to learn how to make videos at that time and they are relatively low quality.
