- 2022: American Society for Engineering Education National Outstanding Teaching Award
- 2020: Cal Poly Pomona Assessment Revolutionary Award - Team award for "implementing meaningful innovative strategies in response to assessment data to strengthen student learning in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the College of Engineering."
- 2020: American Society for Engineering Education Pacific Southwest Section Outstanding Teaching Award
- 2020: American Society for Engineering Education Pacific Southwest Section Outstanding Campus Representative Award
and Zone IV Outstanding Campus Representative Award - 2018: Cal Poly Pomona ASME Student Chapter Professor of the Year Award
- 2018: CSU Faculty Innovation and Leadership Award - Team award for successfully flipping a fluid mechanics course
- 2017: Online Learning Consortium's Digital Learning Initiative Award - Team award for successfully adopting digital courseware in a fluid mechanics course
- 2017: American Society for Engineering Education Annual Conference, Best paper in the Computers in Education Division
- 2017: Northrup Grumman Teaching Award
- 2015: CSU Academic Technology Service QOLT Award
- 2014: eLearning's Wall of Cool award
- 2014: College of Engineering Innovation in Teaching Award
I also have served on the Executive Board for the American Society for Engineering Education Pacific Southwest Section since 2014, including Section Chair during 2018-2019.
