Program Components
Each monthly community gathering is created with you in mind. These events offer a chance to connect with fellow Transfer Success scholars, engage with supportive staff and build lasting relationships with faculty and mentors who want to see you thrive, all while sharing a meal.
We will also have key campus partners cover real-life topics that matter to transfer students — from academic success to personal growth — so you’re equipped not just to survive, but to succeed at Cal Poly Pomona and wherever your journey takes you next.
As a Transfer Success scholar, you’ll be part of a powerful support network! You’ll be grouped with a dedicated Transfer Success student staff as well as other Transfer Success scholars navigating their own transfer journey. Together, you'll dive into key academic strategies, share experiences, and build the skills you need to thrive at Cal Poly Pomona and beyond.

Transfer Success scholars dive into hands-on workshops and guided learning that boost your career readiness. You’ll discover essential campus resources, grow your professional skillset and become a strong candidate for internships, careers and graduate programs.
Research shows that strong connections with faculty and staff lead to a better college experience. Through Transfer Success, you’ll start building those relationships from day one. Meet faculty and staff who are here to support your academic goals, explore your career interests and even write those crucial letters of recommendation when opportunities come your way.
Transfer Success scholars will gain access to one-on-one sessions with EOP (Educational Opportunity Program) tutors at no additional cost.

Requirements
- Must attend all Transfer Success gathering programs scheduled for the semester.
- Must meet with your peer mentor for group peer mentoring 4 times a semester.
- Must maintain a GPA of at least 2.0.
