The Tragedy in Las Vegas

To the campus community,

The tragedy last night in Las Vegas has shaken me, as I’m sure it has shaken you. Some in our Bronco family have been especially affected by the tragedy because they knew someone who died or was critically injured, so their pain is personal. Flags are flying at half-staff on campus in memory of all the victims.

There is no making sense of this event — at least 59 were killed in the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.  I am deeply saddened by this senseless attack, and I ask that we come together during this difficult time to support our Bronco family members. This is a day of mourning and a day to be there for one another. Our hearts go out to all those who have been touched by this atrocity.
