Appointment of Dr. Brandon Tuck to Presidential Associate
June 16, 2025
Dear Campus Community,
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Brandon Tuck as Presidential Associate for Community Partnerships, Engagement and Outreach at Cal Poly Pomona.
Dr. Tuck has served as Interim Presidential Associate for Community Partnerships and Expanding Access on an interim basis since December 2023, leading the Office of Outreach, Recruitment and Educational Partnerships. In that time, he demonstrated a steadfast commitment to expanding access to Cal Poly Pomona through strategic outreach, strengthened educational partnerships and inclusive engagement with schools, colleges and communities across our region.
As Presidential Associate, Dr. Tuck will continue to develop and implement his comprehensive outreach plan, primarily focused on recruiting and retaining a robust and diverse student body. He will serve as a key liaison to high schools, community colleges and community-based organizations, and will build and enhance student enrollment programs. Dr. Tuck will also guide cross-divisional and cross-college collaborations that support student success, with a special emphasis on underserved and historically underrepresented populations.
His work and his role are critical to the success of our university and the lives of thousands of Broncos both now and in the future.
This role reports directly to the Office of the President and works in close partnership with the provost, deans, the Division of Student Affairs, Enrollment Management and Services, Strategic Communications and other key campus and external stakeholders.
Dr. Tuck brings to this role more than 18 years of experience in higher education, having served in both public and private institutions. Prior to his current role, he served as Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and Admissions and previously as Director of Admissions at Cal Poly Pomona. His professional journey has also included administrative roles at CSU Long Beach and Claremont Graduate University. Dr. Tuck holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Howard University, an MBA from the Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Cal Poly Pomona.
I want to thank Dr. Tuck for his leadership and dedication during his interim appointment and for his continued service in this important role. His collaborative approach and strategic vision are vital to ensuring that Cal Poly Pomona remains proactive and coordinated in strengthening student access and advancing our mission in an increasingly competitive landscape.
I also want to thank the search committee, led by Andy Wilcox, for their time, effort and careful consideration.
Please join me in congratulating Dr. Tuck on his permanent appointment and in supporting his efforts to broaden the reach and impact of our institution.
Sincerely,
Soraya M. Coley, Ph.D.
President
