Dear Broncos,

Welcome to a new academic year at Cal Poly Pomona!

There is something special about the first day of classes. Our campus comes alive with new faces, new connections, and the excitement of what is possible. Whether you are beginning your journey at CPP or returning for another year, I am so glad you are here.

This is my first fall at Cal Poly Pomona too, and I have been looking forward to sharing this moment with you. Since arriving, I have spent time listening, learning, and discovering what makes this community so special. What inspires me most is you, our students, and the ambition, talent, and determination you bring to CPP.

As the semester begins, know that we are ready to support you. Connect with your professors. Explore the academic and student services available to you. Get involved. Meet new people. Ask questions. And when you need help, reach out. You are part of a community that wants to see you succeed.

Your time at Cal Poly Pomona is about more than earning a degree. It is about learning, doing, and becoming. Take what you learn in the classroom and put it into action through internships, PolyX experiences, research, projects, and other opportunities that connect your education to the world around you. Explore your strengths, discover new possibilities, and build the experiences and relationships that will prepare you for the future you want to create. Learn. Do. Become. That is your journey at CPP.

When you see me around campus, please come say hello. I want to hear about your experiences, your aspirations, and your ideas for making CPP even stronger.

I believe this will be an extraordinary year, and I am incredibly optimistic about what lies ahead for you and for Cal Poly Pomona.

As you begin this semester, remember that you belong here. Bring your curiosity, your ideas, and your ambitions. Take advantage of the opportunities around you, support one another, and do not be afraid to imagine what is possible.
