Technology has always been at the center of Tau Walsh’s curiosity. Fascinated by computer hardware, audio equipment, gaming consoles and the systems that power everyday technology, Tau discovered that electrical engineering can transform his curiosity into innovation. At Cal Poly Pomona, Tau continues to build technical expertise through involvement in Formula Electric and CPP Melee, while also supporting campus events as an audio-visual technician for ASI. Tau credits software engineer Linus Torvalds as a source of inspiration, admiring his commitment to open-source technology and the lasting impact around the world. Torvalds reinforces Tau’s belief that engineering should improve lives by creating technology that is practical, meaningful and accessible. Looking ahead, Tau hopes to build a career as a mixed-signal hardware engineer, applying the knowledge gained at Cal Poly Pomona to develop innovative electronic systems.
