Trevor Cheng’s interest in electrical engineering began with a simple question: How do the systems behind everyday technology work so seamlessly to improve people’s lives? Seeing devices ranging from automatic doors to robotic arms to artificial limbs, Trevor became fascinated by how engineering can transform ideas into technology that improves daily life. Initially drawn to prosthetics and articulated devices, he has also developed an interest in power engineering and the infrastructure needed to support a changing world. Trevor is a member of the Kellogg Honors College and has been involved with BroncoSpace BILL-EE. Beyond campus, he serves his church community by leading a men’s Bible study, planning events, supporting newcomers and sharing his musical talents on piano and drums. Trevor credits his father with teaching him to take initiative and serve others, lessons he carries into every aspect of his life. He tutors friends, shares study resources and enjoys building meaningful connections. In the future, he hopes to work in biomedical technology or power infrastructure, using engineering to help people move forward in an evolving world.
